Our ISO 17025 accredited UK microbiological laboratory leads the way. It is fully equipped to assist with a host of testing from BP/EP preservative efficacy testing, through to biocidal testing and hygiene controls, as well as so much more. Our state of the art laboratory undertakes a variety of analytical testing including heavy metals by ICP-MS, cannabinoids by HPLC, alcohol assay testing by FTIR and terpenes, residual solvents and 1,4-dioxane testing by GC-MS.

Our team consists of microbiological scientists, chartered chemists, and analysts, all of whom are highly trained and motivated to deliver the best for our clients. The scope and range of testing we undertake is almost too vast to mention. However, it’s safe to say that if your product requires testing, we can almost certainly provide it.

From compatibility and stability testing to meet the Food Standards Agencies’ requirements, to flash point and fire safety testing for candles, we offer a comprehensive range of standard laboratory tests to ensure your product meets all regulatory requirements. But we take it even further, offering advanced analytical techniques that allow us to examine your product from the inside out. This includes testing for dangerous levels of heavy metal elements such as arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury, and so on.

In addition to understanding your product’s terpene or fragrance profile, we can contribute to improving your formulation and manufacturing processes by testing for residual solvents and advising on how best to reduce them. Notably, we are recognised as a leading testing laboratory for the growing CBD market, conducting HPLC analysis of cannabinoids to determine potency and THCA decomposition.

At ADSL, we use universally recognised and accredited methods, as well as providing bespoke testing where needed. Since 2019, we have offered vegan alternatives for many of our practices, ensuring that your product remains as compliant as possible throughout the testing process.
