ADSL operates an ISO 17025 accredited Microbiological facility at our UK HQ. We offer an extensive array of preservative efficacy testing, batch release QC testing, as well as water and biocidal testing.

Our ISO 17025 accredited Microbiological facility undertakes an extensive array of preservative efficacy testing and batch release QC testing, as well as water testing, based largely on Microbiology of Drinking Water (MoDW) standards. We can perform British Pharmacopoeia, ISO 11930, BP 1993 and more under our UKAS accreditation and we are also able to include other organisms to provide a bespoke test for manufacturing/development facilities, ensuring complete safety of your products.
In December 2019, we gained registration for our methods for vegan alternatives to Preservative Efficacy Testing and also for Total Viable Count (TVC) processes. Our methods use substitutes for the animal products used in common microbiological media and we have extensive internal procedures to give you the confidence that a product can be as compliant as possible throughout the development process.
ADSL have a host of universally recognized methods available including British Pharmacopoeia, BS EN ISO 21149, BS EN ISO 16212, E. coli BS EN ISO 21150, Staphylococcus aureus BS EN ISO 22718, Pseudomonas aeruginosa BS EN ISO 22717, Candida albicans. BS EN ISO 18416 and detection of specified and non-specified microorganisms BS EN 18415
