All within the cosmetic, household and food categories.

Formulation and development
Looking to develop a new cosmetic, household or food product? Our experienced lab team will take your product idea, troubleshoot and improve the formulation where necessary, and turn it into a manufacturing reality. Then we’ll advise on all relevant territory regulations to ensure your new product meets all required standards.
Microbiological and lab testing
Our ISO 17025 accredited UK microbiological and laboratory facility is fully equipped to assist with a host of testing. This includes, but is not limited to, BP/EP preservative efficacy testing, biocidal testing and hygiene controls. Our expert team undertakes a variety of analytical testing including heavy metals by ICP-MS, cannabinoids by HPLC, alcohol assay testing by FTIR and terpenes, residual solvents and 1,4-dioxane testing by GC-MS.
Our range of compliance and registration services
We maintain an extensive knowledge of international regulations regarding cosmetics and related products, which is constantly monitored and updated by qualified assessors. Our team closely monitors regulatory news to enable us to anticipate changes and provide you with detailed advice and recommendations regarding compliance requirements in the global market.
If you are looking to have a presence in the UK or EU we offer product notification to the SCPN (UK) and the CPNP (EU), as well as a Responsible Person service via our offices in England and the Republic of Ireland. We can also notify products to Health Canada and to the US Voluntary Cosmetic Registration Program (VCRP). For registration or notification in other parts of the world we’ll be happy to provide any support and assistance that we can.
User trials and claims
If you’re developing a cosmetic product you’ll be familiar with the idea of product testing and clinical trials. In fact, any claims you make about the effectiveness of your product will need to be substantiated in order to meet local regulations such as Commission Regulation (EU) No 655/2013 in the EU.
At our UK DermaCentre we use state of the art technology to measure a range of parameters. From patch testing, validation of claims such as “dermatologically approved”, through to skin moisture and TEWL assessments, erythemal index and melanin testing, SPF, elasticity and sebum assessments, we have a host of options to answer your product research and validate your claims. What’s more, we’re investing heavily in our testing capacity to keep it up-to-date and growing to meet the needs of future consumers.
